- Use Synaptic to install CUPS-PDF
- In the terminal, type sudo nautilus
- Navigate to /usr/lib/cups/backend/
- Right-click cups-pdf and select “properties”
- Go to the permissions tab and check “Set User ID”
- Close nautilus, go to System>Administration>Printing
- Add a new printer, it should detect the CUPS-PDF printer
- Install CUPS-PDF using the Generic Postscript Color Printer (Rev 3b)
- Give it a clear name like “CUPS-PDF” or “PDF Printer”
- Print using CUPS-PDF instead of default printer
