Pop-Up: Baby Activity Logger
- Joel arrived on May 5, 2009 at 9 lbs, and my wife and I were definitely caught off guard with how much time he would take up.
- On top of that, there were all kinds of things to remember, and the nurses kept asking when we fed, how many diapers he had, what time he woke up, etc.
- Once we started writing things down, it made it easier to figure out if he was crying for food, sleep, or diaper. (although there are supposedly other ways to see if he is crying due to his diaper I'm told)
- Enter: Baby Activity Logger
- I purchased this app for my iPhone and my wife and I immediately fell in love with it.
- It has 4 icons to perform all of the core logging:
- Bottle: tap to start and stop feeding times
- Diaper: tap to log a diaper change
- Baby: tap to log burps, spit-ups, or custom events
- Moon: tap to log sleeping and waking up
- each icon has a pop-up to request details, such as left, right, or bottle feeding or poop, pee, or both in diapers.
- You can view and edit each of the day's items on the "today" screen
- View totals for the day on the "totals" screen
- and on both the today and totals screen you can flip through previous days.
- Rumor has it export to CSV will be coming soon... time for some graphs of Joel's bowel movements!
- 5 out of 5 stars, it isn't free, but it works great and is easy to use.
Geek-Tweak: How to keep windows programs on top
- Download and install AutoHotKey from http://www.autohotkey.com/
- Open notepad and type: "^SPACE:: Winset, Alwaysontop, , A" (without the quotes)
- Save the file as "alwaysOnTop.ahk" anywhere you'd like... perhaps the desktop if you plan on using it often
- Now just double click the .ahk file, and autohotkey should run it and show a little icon in your system tray.
- Now, select any window and press Control + Space. That window should now stay on top!
- Just use Control + Space again to disable always-on-top mode for that window.
View-Source: Advice for Joel #5
- It is one thing to say you believe in God, but an entirely different thing to actually Trust Him.
- The Bible is full of information God has for us, and the Holy Spirit reveals tons of information to us, and we are called to trust it with all of our hearts.
- While we do learn and should be knowledgeable about what we do, we should not lean on what we learn apart from God.
- In all of our ways we need to acknowledge Him. I see two key points in that statement:
- There is never an instance not to acknowledge God
- We still have our ways, we need to keep moving while we ask God for direction.
- If we keep acknowledging God while we move, He will direct our Paths, and we will be moving in the right direction.
- If we keep relying on our wisdom and understanding while we move forward, we could spend years going in the wrong direction.
